About me

I started my career as a technical writer for a government contractor (GTE). After a period of years, I established my own business doing freelance technical writing projects as well as graphic design/pre-press work for local printers.

In 1994, after a short period of time writing for the local daily newspaper,  I recognized a need in the community, and founded a hometown "good-news-paper," the Bellingham Bulletin. I published the Bulletin for 27 years, during which I did everything from management, photojournalism, design and pre-press, and bookeeping to maintaining the Bulletin website. For a year and half during this same period, I also published The Local Woman's Guide, a quarterly magazine.

I sold the newspaper at the start of 2022; however, I retained ownership of TechPro Publications. I have now come full circle, resuming my original role as a freelance publishing consultant.
